There is hope and purpose after Brain injury.
God saw fit to leave us here so he left us with talents, abilities or stories that will benefit others. 2 Corinthians 1:4
These things we have to share can be different than before our injury.
These can be discovered as we try to be like we were before and fail. This is painful but often necessary to move in our new direction. I’m Seven years out and just beginning to embrace the opportunities open to me now that I’m out of the corporate rat race to retirement or whatever career goals I had in my sights.
Our realization of hope is not always miraculous, sometimes it is dependent on us applying ourselves. You absolutely must resist the urge to let yourself live as a victim.
I build things and fix things now. Here is a cabinet I built for my sister-in-law.
Seek out your purpose and don’t be surprised or disappointed if it is different than what you planned. Contrary to what we may think, God is taking care of us.
